This is one of Michele's "Amsterdam Series" style of paintings. After a trip to Amsterdam just before Rome got locked down on account of Covid-19, Michele was inspired by her trips to the art galleries including, the Van Gogh Museum. She painted the first two smaller predecessors to Synergy that year, intrigued as the lines and colours and patterns of flow emerged on her canvas, revealing itself from a distance, like images on a stained glass window.

What was interesting is that although the style of paintings look so vastly different and were created in a different pace and rhythm, the ":Amsterdam Series" paintings also were observed to captivate attention and uplift the spaces they are hung in.
